Elle wanted a slumber party for her 5th birthday. Thinking that I wasn't emotionally ready for 16 five year old girls spending the night, we invented a FAUX slumber party. The girls came over in their pajamas at 5:00 for a pizza dinner. Dinner was followed by a sugar cookie decorating adventure. We decorated "Evangeline" star cookies from the Princess and the Frog movie. Cookie decorating was followed up by a beaded Tiana Tiara craft project, which turned out to be more challenging that I thought. After the craft fiasco, the girls headed upstairs to our cleared out playroom where their sleeping bags were set up to watch the Princess and the Frog. Halfway though the movie we had intermission, ate Prince Naveen frog cupcakes and sang Happy Birthday. Then the girls went back upstairs to finish the movie. At 9:00 the parents came back to pick up their darling daughters and take them home. It was a lot of work, but a blast! Based on the smiles and squeels that fulled our home.....party was a success!
